Congratulations
Everett Smith Jr.
in your selection by the Arkansas Funeral Directors Association as the
2011 Arkansas Funeral Director of the Year.
 Everett Smith, Jr.'s story began in 1951 when, as a young man needing work, he was hired as an ambulance driver by Jack Caruth in Hot Springs. Everett had no idea what to expect working around a funeral home, but his involvement soon generated a passionate interest and dedication to this progression. He became a licensed funeral director in 1957 and was issued License #266. In 1963, he was hired by Marlin and Louise Davis for their funeral home in Glenwood. Along with his wife Ruth, and their eight-year-old son, Tony, the Family made the move from their home in Hot Springs. With the Davis' retirement in 1989, the funeral home was purchased by the Smith Family and the name was changed to Davis-Smith Funeral Home.
The passion and dedication for funeral service that Everett Smith found in 1951 continues today, 60 years later.
